I don't like having to come up with a title, I don't have a lot to say about just one topic, so its difficult to come up with something that summarizes all I talk about.
Last night we had another amazing worship night! We had 20 people in our movie room upstairs and had an incredible time of intimate worship! The experience can't be put into words, but it was just amazing! God totally showed up in our home! We celebrated the birth of Christ...Christmas and the resurrection of Christ. Without either one we wouldn't be here today. We took communion and sang and were just completely free to worship unhindered. I really needed the time and hope that Josh and I can be more intentional about doing it more often.
I'm so excited! We are celebrating Christmas Eve with my mom later today (because it is technically Tuesday now, I guess that's what happens when you've worked nights). Josh and I are going to join my mom and brothers in Albemarle. Its our tradition to open a gift on Christmas Eve. Lately we get a family gift, its normally a game and we play it after we open it. I love my family. I love getting together with my brothers...we always have so much fun. I'm so thankful for being so close to my family. It truly is a blessing. So, today is my Christmas Eve, tomorrow is my Christmas with my mom, we are having Brisket and spending the day together. Since tomorrow really is Christmas Eve, we will come back to Monroe, to celebrate with my Meme & Papa and that side of the family! I'm excited about that too. Whenever we get together there are always so many great stories! The real Christmas is the day after, and since I have to work, I won't be celebrating too much. I'll try to get up in time to go to my Dad's for breakfast, then head to the ER to take care of people.
Anyway, I love any chance to be with my friends and family, its the best thing in this world to me!
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! Remember, its not about the gifts, but time with family and friends!
Merry Christmas, Josh and Brooke! :-)
